As I write this we are just into our 3rd month of 2020, over half way through the first quarter. This year seems to be flying by. Now is a great time to reflect on where you are at with your quarterly goals, you still have time to reflect and readjust your focus so you can accomplish what you set out to 2 short months ago. Remember 2020 is a year for clearer vision, it's a chance to focus on the future and accomplish what we choose to accomplish. Are you adjusting your focus for the future? Because the future is now.

Meet Tammy Holmes Kwik Staff’s Bookkeeper and Owner
What was your initial reaction when Todd said he wanted to start his own staffing company? He had mentioned it several times prior so when it was time to make that decision, I wasn’t surprised. I knew it was something he could do and be successful doing it. The initial surprise was how quickly it needed to happen.
Did you ever think you would be working alongside your husband and running a business together? In college we both had a dream of owning some sort of commercial or residential cabinetry design business. But then life happens and you have to adjust a little.
What is the first memory you have working at Kwik Staff? The shopping spree of buying computers, sitting in our basement programming them all and getting all the forms and documents we needed made and ready to roll. It took a couple of late nights for Todd, Justin and Ozkar but they made it happen.
Do you find it hard to balance work and life with being able to work from home? Yes, it is hard for me to balance it all. It can be hard to stay focused on work when you also have your home life right in front of you. The laundry, dishes, a dirty house, personal finances to tackle, groceries, cooking and yard work is always there. All of which I like to get done so it doesn’t interfere with family time later. Especially when we are also consumed with the kid’s practices, games and activities most evenings and weekends. It is a struggle and one I’m trying to balance daily. However I am thankful I have the opportunity to be, that work from home, / stay at home mom.
What is your favorite part about working with Kwik Staff? I would say knowing we have helped others. Kwik Staff has helped many companies find the perfect match for their team and help reduce the overall stress of the hiring process. The network we have along with the great recruitment team Kwik Staff has is what we hope sets us apart from other agencies. It is also rewarding knowing what we do helps better the business economy for Topeka and the surrounding areas.
If you could do anything in the world what would you do and why? Live a long, healthy life so I can continue to watch my kids grow and share their ups and downs in life. Celebrate their joys and support them on their journeys. Family is important to me. Jumping from a plane, visiting Australia and Italy could interest me as well.

Employee of the Month
For the Month of February is Thomas Walsh. Thomas has not only been an excellent addition to the Kwik Staff team, but has allowed us to serve new customers in different fields. Tom thank you for all that you do, your work ethic and reliability do not go unnoticed.
We want to be the change.
Everyone talks about the need to change in order to grow. We want to be that change. This year we are looking to not only know who our customers are but exactly what they need on a daily basis. The industry is changing, and we are changing right along with it. In order to adapt we need to first recognize that there is a need and then make a dynamic change in order to meet that need. Nothing in life is easy but at least we can help one another shoulder that burden. Let us know how we can be your change this year.

Hopefully this Month continues like a Lamb, and goes out the same way. I am hoping for an early spring. With that being said we can help with all your spring cleaning needs. It’s the last month of the quarter.
It’s hard to believe that the first quarter is almost at a close. So much has taken place already this quarter. We are so thankful to be able to serve our clients and pride ourselves in providing the best laborers for each job. This year our focus is on you. We want to be able to make sure that not only is your job being taken care of, but that you are happy with the staffing that you recieve. We know that not everything is predictable and always goes to plan, however, we also know that the right temporary or even full time staffing goes a long way. We want to make sure that not only your staffing needs are met but your expectations as well. We look forward to another great year working with all of you.
