Overview
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a background in various welding techniques and fabrication, with the ability to work in a manufacturing environment. This role requires precision, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate a variety of tools and equipment to produce high-quality welded components in accordance with industry standards. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects utilizing advanced welding methods, including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and plasma cutting.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding operations using MIG, TIG, FCAW, and other welding techniques on various materials such as sheet metal, pipe, and structural components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding specifications and procedures.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
- Conduct fabrication tasks, including cutting, bending, assembly, and rigging, according to project requirements.
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to ensure accurate dimensions and tolerances.
- Work with crane operators and rigging teams to move heavy materials safely around the construction site or manufacturing floor.
- Follow all safety protocols related to welding standards (including ASME codes & standards), mechanical operations, and site safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean work environment and perform routine inspections of welds for quality assurance.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction site welding or manufacturing environments with a focus on structural steel, ductwork, or pipe fabrication.
- Proficiency in MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), and FCAW welding processes; experience with plasma cutting is a plus.
- Ability to read complex blueprints
Recycling Sorter
Location: Lawrence, KS
Wage: $11.00/HR. Daily Pay with $.25 performance raise every 3 months
Shift: First
You can work as a Recycling Worker without formal qualifications. Some on the job training may be provided.
- Sorts materials, such as metals, glass, wood, paper or plastics, into appropriate containers for cleaning, recycling, processing, storing, shipping or grading.
- Operates equipment, such as forklifts, automated refuse and manual recycling collection vehicles, to move materials for processing.
- Deposits recoverable materials into chutes or places materials on conveyor belts.
- Maintains a clean work area to ensure workplace safety.
- Cleans, disassembles, repairs and maintains the recycling equipment so that it works properly.
